In this message Jesus teaches disciples like us about the motives behind the good deeds we do. He looks at the topics of giving, prayer and fasting and we are faced with the glaring question: would we do these same good deeds things if no one ever saw, heard or noticed that we did. Because that is what clarifies our motives. When we are willing to do our good deeds secretly, we remain anonymous and God gets the glory. If we do them needing to be seen, heard or recognized, then we usually get the honor and God oftentimes does not.
