In this message we look at the blessings that God has in store for those who put God 1st. In the Luke 1 - 2 Christmas narrative, Mary chose to serve God instead of bowing to her fear of what others might think of her. Joseph did the same. The Shepherds in the field left their flocks by faith to explore what God was doing and their faith was rewarded. Even the Magi who travelled from far away with gifts for the new King Jesus had their faith rewarded as they were "seeking God 1st". All of these people got in on the full Christmas Experience by putting God 1st. Lastly the Christmas Experience brings us to the reality that God's son became flesh and lived out his life here on earth. He ultimately came to pay for the sins of the world, including ours. But he also showed us that He can empathize with us, that He understands our struggles, He was tempted in every way that we were, and that we can bring any matter before Him freely. In other words, "God Gets You"! He understands you and He welcomes you (Heb 4:14-16). From that understanding, let's get in on the full experience Christ has to offer us.
