In this message we look at the next thing that Jesus taught his disciples that Christ followers need to know - and that's influence. Jesus tells us that through Him, we have more influence than we know. That influence expresses itself as "Salt and Light". Jesus says you are the salt of the earth and that means God put you in the preservation and flavor business. When the life of Jesus doesn’t come out of us, we have no influence. Jesus also says you are the light of the world. Let's remember that the Light of Christ is attractive. It is light and not loud, it is bright not brash, it is radiant not right. Like Jesus we are to be full of truth and grace! That's attractive! Lastly, your light shines through the Jesus-motivated deeds that you do - and that's how God gets the glory!
