In Philippians1 we get to see how the Apostle Paul lived above his difficult circumstances. The first thing that greatly helped is that Paul knew that God started a work in him and that God was certainly going to complete it. That helped him rise above circumstance. Paul also came to terms with another powerful principle, which was that he needed to leave his judgments of others to God and not be burdened with the unnecessary weight of that ! Lastly, Paul knew that "to live is Christ". This compelled him to press on, even in very difficult situations, as he walked by faith and not by sight.
